    forestry uniform set ww2 era?

    Hello
    I have this uniform set of forestry service. I find the jacket and trousers on a flea market many years ago.
    the pants are traces of buttons for wearing suspenders.The jacket has a dagger passage and a small pocket patch in the lower right pocket
    Is WW2 era?
    Only information could be fun! thank you very much .

    Both are from the end 50´s - end 60´s, west german state forestry service.
    The back cut without buttons was introduced in 1949 and as it shows no sign of collar tabs, but has a slit for the dagger hanger, You can date it post 1955.

    From 1945 - 55 no daggers were allowed and between May 45 and 1950 no collar tabs were worn . During the early 50´s collar tabs were partly reintroduced, but abolished in 1955.

    The most destinctive feature to tell a wartime from a post war forestry tunic is the back cut, but until 1949 the old cut remained in use, but without dagger slit. So be careful.

    German forestry uniform is tricky and only little changes were made. A very special field.
