    HJ-spade ??

    Hello,
    A friend of mine has found this spade on a fleemarket.
    He sayd it is from HJ.
    Do you know more about it?

            He only said that he has seen such a spate somewhere in the net what is made by the maker: "Enders" and had a blue color and was titled HJ.
            There for he bought it on the fleemarked.
            By the way it was very cheep(he has paid 4,-€)

              This spade does not meet any of the standards for a 1933/1934 spade. Not any spade is just a HJ spade.
              There are in-depth descriptions for an actual HJ spade, which were published in 1933/1934.
              The most important lack is the nine rivets with which the blade is fastened to the wooden handle with the
              early pattrn spade. In 1936 it is mentioned the HJ spade did have 7 rivets; the DJ version 6!
              The upper part for the blade is noted to be ausgeschweift, which shows an angular top of the blade
              with the early pattern. If this was so with the 1936 pattern, I do not know.
