I see a problem with this set--do you have any photos of their reverses?

Is the tab device with the Prussian eagle a copy as well?

Probably. They've been repro'd for the past 30+ years.

Are there many fakes in Fuller's Collectors Guide to SA Insignia reference?

I suppose it opens up a discussion about having space filling quality tabs in a collection of originals, especially if originals are out of a collectors price range

I believe it is OK to do. I know many forum members do that to fill out a mannequin set up or some other sort of display. As long as one acknowledges it's fake and doesn't try to sell it as the read deal then no harm, no foul.

these are nice repros but incorrect construction. if they had period-specific materials i think they would make great fillers for a collection.

There is a 'Frankenstein' (actually it should be Frankenstein's Monster) FJK kepi at the Max show. I'm not at the show but a friend sent a few photos. It's the one that's pictured in the headgear volume of the 'Exotische' books.
