      Very interesting. The swastika should've been added at the same time though, right? Or would it have been added once it was applied to the backing?

            looks like they might have been some sort of test pieces to calibrate the embroidery machine. looks a little sloppy.

              Embroidered by hand, so I don't think so. Swastikas and other highlights were probably going to be added in bullion to provide a contrast to the celeon.

                hmm. fair point. still looks a little loosey-goosey. could have been a monday morning or friday afternoon. don't recall seeing the underside of the cloth on PL tabs before.
