          Shoulderboard

Regulations from Early 1934 show this board as for "Stabchef", but it would have a gold 6-pointed star on top. Late 1934 regulations show it as the same, but with a gold insignia of 3 oak leaves on top. 1938/1939 thru 1941 regulations show the same thing (3 gold oakleaf insignia on top), but I believe the shoulderboard was wider than the 1934 era. It appears authentic, but it's rarity demands closer scrutiny.

IMO a replica. The wool used for the underlay has the wrong finish and the cording isn't assembled as one would expect for a period piece.
There are some pretty good quality copies of SA leaders' boards, both first and 2nd style, popping up lately, and this looks like one of them.
