Collar tabs with pipes and black/white piping

Hi guys,

I first posted in the Wehrmacht forum but soon realised I would probably have more chances in the political organizations area!

I'm looking for more info about this picture:
- The pipes on each side could indicate a Volkssturm rank (three pipes for Kompanieführer) but the corded piping would be strange
- This black and white piping makes me thing of the early SS-VT collar tabs but then there would be the SS runes on the wearer's right side instead of pipes
- It also makes me think of some SA units (rank of Sturmführer like on the other picture below) but then there should be the unit on the right side

Does anyone knows the formation this man belongs to ?

the double rank tabs are indicative of an SA administration office. they are not necessarily black/whit.

Thanks for the answer. Does it indicate someone working at the HQ administration (therefore not belonging to a specific Standarte, which would explain the right tab without unit number)?

You're right Tom, administration wore in the early '30 just like medic peronal double rank tabs.

But the guy above is more likely an instructor of SA- or NSKK schule. They also wore double ranks for a period, and you can see he wearing the Ausbildungsanzug (School dress)
