    NSDAP Armband help?

Hello all! I come today with this NSDAP armband. I'm sure it is genuine, but as always, opinions are welcome.
What I'm more concerned with is the dried glue.

The dried glue is from where it was glued into a scrapbook. Could anyone offer some advice on how to (hopefully) remove the glue? It'll be displayed either way, I'd just like to know.
    Thanks for reading!

It is obvious this has been in an album at one time ...if it is elmers wood glue a little water dabbed only on one spot at a time will likely make it come off...do not wash the band though ...some materials from that time are not color fast so if you cut a piece of card board to fit between the front of the band and back of the band to separate the two halves from one another and then wet one spot at a time with the corner of a sponge that might do the trick...So let it alone for quite a while after wetting to give it time to hydrate the glue...but being original....I wouldn't worry about it too much just as it is.....if it is something other than wood glue....I have no idea except to leave it alone....I do like this type of bevo band a lot though.

Personally, I'd just display it as is. The marks show its authenticity and life as a souvenir.

I'd personally leave it as is and like previously stated, it keeps the "souvenir" look.

Alright guys, thanks for your responses. I won't touch the glue.
