    SA Armband with mystery tag

    HI all
    Had this armband for a few years now, before I joined the forum in fact,
    Bought it from a dealer in Jersey (channel islands).
    I have just purchased a ss armband of the e-stand, so have been reading all the posts regarding what to look for in that type of armband, then I remembered the little sa armband.
    Whilst having a look at this, I found the unusual RZM paper tag, it has no tax/value letter, I cannot seem to find any information on if these tags did exist or not.
    Could anyone out there possibly help.
    I have blacklight tested the armband and tag and they do not glow, as can be seen in the following photos. Regards
    Paul

          The two black light photos are of the front swastika and of the inside with the tag just in case you cannot make out these in the photo,I have also pictured it on a piece of modern white paper for comparison.

              Just an early tag before the use of the letter designations.

                I agree with Bob. An earlier RZM tag. They are also found in a darker blue, red, and gray

                  These tags are still included in the 1936 RZM manufacturing-regulations. Many colors were with spcified to which item it did belong, for example:

                  blue (halb) for not embroidered collar patches and diamond type insignia;
                  blue for embroidered SA collar-patches incl. Sturmbannführer, SA shoulder-straps up to incl. Sturmführer, cotton armbands for SA and political leaders; lanyards or SA and political leaders, arm-insignia for signals SA, SA and NSKK hospital orderlies insignia, pennants for bycicles with a party related symbol and insignia for Jäger- dn Schützenstandarten;
                  black for collar-patches with Tresse for political leaders;
                  violett for SA-shoulders-traps upwards Sturmbannführer, cloth and felt armbands for SA and political leaders, cap cords for political leaders;
                  yellow for SA cuff-titles and SA car and motor pennants.

                  There are many more color: brown, winered, pink, green, orange with lots and lots of indications. Grey was not mentioned.

                      Interesting info Wim! So as of 1936 these tags without letters and different colors were still used? Any information on when it just became light blue and black tags (light blue for political, black for SS)?

                      I attached a grey tag as well. At least looks grey in person. Not the best pic, but it shows the main idea. Maybe it is violet however?
