Help needed with a Badge "Gau Munich 1933"

    Gentlemen

Is this badge a good or bad one?
    All inputs are appreciated.

It looks to me like this badge has had a silver paint-job and an antique highlighting at some point. One can still see traces of the bronze color on the reverse, and the pin shows no wear at all. While I believe there were some examples of this 1933 Munich Commemoration Badge created in silver (search WAF for more info), the classification or the reason for such silver badges being created is still unclear. Not one that I would want for my collection.

    Cheers,

    Br. James

      Badge

This badge appears to have been cast, as opposed to the original method of being "pressed" or "stamped". Not for me either.

Feels like I better leave this one alone then.
Thanks for your inputs guys. I appreciate it.

        All the best.

All i can tell you, is that all the original Deschler marked 9.11-1933 München Festival Tinnies that i have had, show distinct faults in the letters, with a portion of the letter not etched out of the die properly. Seen in the letter U of UND and the H of HABT.

Hi Jo, was this flaw for both Deschler u Sohne; and Deschler & Sohne?
