    NSKK Huhnelein pocket watch case

Hello, I've just discovered in a flea market in Poland the following watch case signed by Huhnelin with the NSKK logo.
I would highly appreciate your feedback on this item. Is it the watch that belonged to Huhnelin, a watch that was offered by Huhnlein to someone else or rather a fake?

    I would say 100% fake

I agree--the watch case is old but the engraving is not.

What do you mean the engraving is not old? Indeed, I have noticed that there are some scratches actually below the signature and logo, but what if the watch was his private watch? That is, first he had the watch, then become NSKK leader and had his watch signed? The signature seems authentic
See here the watches of Himmler and Heydrich >

The watches below are regarded as genuine and the engraving has been done after they were already in use.

The two sites you show do not have the best reputation for original items,
I would not use them as a reference point

Oh, well... I was not aware of this. They seemed genuine to me.
But coming back to my watch: Huhnlein's signature looks authentic, similar - but not idential - to any of the 3-4 signatures one can find online.
Then again, what is the point of making a copy on case and sell it in the flea market for pennies ? If somebody would be able to duplicate the signature, he would put it on something more valuable (a complete watch, a dagger etc). moreover, he could just duplicate all the signatures of important people (Nazi leaders and not only) and make 100 fake watches and make a profit.

But this case is essentially one of it's kind. I somebody is able to replicate a pinn, then he would make hundreds of them. not just one!

My third point: if it was just a copy made for extra bucks over the price of the watch case, why bother with the signature and nskk logo? just make a swastika, say it's from ww2 and that's it. byfar, more effective.

An empty watch case in this condition (with most of the original finish worn off) is worth nearly nothing. If someone has a pantograph, with a few minutes work they have a piece someone might buy, if even only for 100 zloty.

Perfect, I fully agree with what you say. Fully!
Now the question is: I have the pantograph, I have the skills, watch cases are found in abundance, but I decide to make only 1 fake watch and then sell it for 100 zloty.
Why not 100 watches? Why not 1.000?
Has any of you seen something similar? Even remotely?
Of course some of the fake WWII relics come from Poland (actually, more from Ukraine), but It has to do also with the fact that a Poland was actually under the rule of Nazy Germany for most part of the war.

One more issue: I challenge you to find online or wherever you want the original signature which you consider it is replicated via a pantograpf on the watch case. There are only 3-4 pictures of Huihnlein;s signature, all similar, but none identical.

Agree, plus the watch is possibly actually from the 50's even so they remove the watch so it doesn't show the item. as being post war. Catarad- you will never be able to prove this as of the period belonging to Hunlein, it's 99.9% copy that's that is being generous I think.

@John Fish: you have to be absolutely kidding me!!!!!

The small watch with the "illiterate" hand writing is ACTUALLY the watch that Hitler himself gave to Ewa Brown. It is set in a number of diamonds, there are records of this watch given to her.
Is this really the level of knowledge on this forum??
                            http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...World-War.html

The same goes for the first watch that you posted, or rather the last one (namely the one with the crown below), the one with the eagle and the M1307 marking. I can assure you that it is original 100%.

The watch with the black markings on the dial is 100% fake, but that is rather easy to spot.

Once again, to my point I am trying to make: the only one watch that has an actual signature IS GENUINE!

To be honest I spent 30 seconds on Google images to snap you some examples of this stuff.
If you think your watch is original then congratulations but it would not be for my collection and I think that 99% of the WAF might have the same feeling, however I may be wrong so lets ask the membership ....
