Hello, these two armbands, sports eagle and relic condition party flag came from a local buddies woodwork find. The Swastika party armband is unique for me, slender multipiece construction. Anyone seen one like this? Best, Bill

Hello Bill,
I've seen a number of home-made armbands over the years--they're hard to prove or disprove. Since each is unique, there are no specific earmarks that will help to ascertain originality, provided the materials are period.

Armband

I like the construction of that SA-style armband. The construction is extremely utilitarian, and doesn't seem like the methods fakers usually use. "Early" SA items are the most desirable, IMO, but sometimes difficult to authenticate. I vote original.
