Do you really think this item is a fake only because it's new and unused ?

For my collections, I allways prefer items that are like new or like worn yesterday and when I'm, as collector, "forced" to buy things that ostensibly came out of a garbage can, I clean them.

In the museums, for exemple, every piece of art is cleaned and restored just to see the object in its original configuration (shape, color, ect). An item with history is certainly not more rare or even do not carry more history because people have spat or pissed on it (and who knows when they did that... perhaps yesterday). On the other side, as you know, most of the copies are sold as dug found, barn found and in a state of disgusting filth.

Agreed, really nice unissued pair of sport shorts.
Insignia and medals were'nt the only things brought back that were found in factories and in unissued condition. Nice piece to have in your collection

BDM Sport Hose

They are good and made according to RZM construction guidelines. The material is correct; the BDM sport shorts are made with a thicker and somewhat rougher material when compared to the shorts of the HJ boys which were made of a shiny, smooth, black satin material. I bought a pair of these BDM shorts from Weitze, and they are pictured in my book "Sport and the Third Reich".
