Mr. Saris has researched most, if not all, of the NSDAP/RZM information pertaining to political related organizations from the original sources over the course of decades. He is arguably the most knowledgable member in this regard on this forum. He has written numerous books, many many articles, and contributed to additional books as well as to this and other forums. A simple 'yes' from him should not cause an outburst.

I explained myself perfectly, you know why i said it,or didnt you read my post?
I also know all those things and have some of his books, does that mean I dont have a right to say what I feel? On the other forum Mr.Saris was trying to prove Allgemeine SS Horseman didnt wear double shoulderboards which is obviously wrong as its illustrated in many photos,so even he can be wrong with all of his learned information.

Ive also bought uniforms from you in the past and you know alot too,but the uniforms are no longer in my collection if you understand me.We all make mistakes whether we know about them when doing so or not.

a simple yes without explaination can cause MUCH confusion,if you go back and read my response youll undestand why.If this post upsets you Im sorry buT i have an opinion too,and can see through alot of things, sometimes Im wrong others dead on.
One thing i dont do is elevate people to pedastals and apologize on the grounds that they have knowledge, thats ludicrous,my reasoning was totally grounded, just take a look at one of our MOST esteemed members who sold the GARBAGE recent grouping,i wont be naming anyone everyone knows.Do you still support him after knowingly distributing that crap?,do you now wish to punish me for speaking my mind and what i feel is the truth?
This is a discussion group, does it need a hiearchy? i give respect when its due,but it doesnt mean I have to walk on eggshells, especially here, you ever vist the SS forum?try policing that.

What I mean is that here is a fine NSKK high leader's tunic; a member asks a simple question about insignia. He is not questioning the originality of the tunic nor casting doubt on it. He gets a simple response that answers his question.

If I understand correctly, you expected more to the response than 'yes'; however, that did answer the question.

Of course everyone makes mistakes--even, as we see in period photographs, it was the SA or SS member, for example, who made the mistake and didn't know or follow regulations.

For example, a regulation was posted in the OSAF bulletins that the Reiter SA was to wear double shoulder straps. There is an article in an early 30s Illustrierter Beobachter showing an SA Reiter wearing 2 shoulder boards. What the regulation actually meant was that the Reiters should wear the brown leather 'Y' shoulder straps rather than the single leather cross-belt. Apparently this was misinterpreted by enough members that a clarification was later published advising that only 1 shoulder board should be worn with the addition of the brown leather double shoulder straps.

Of course everyone here is entitled to their opinion about this stuff--my concern is that we all remain civil to each other.

All i meant was it can be interpreted that the tunic was INCORRECT by just saying YES it should have an armband. To others or beginners this could be taken as its a bad tunic as its missing a key piece,or a put together,or tampered with,,to a buyer on thefence it it were a sale could ruin the sale, this is why just saying YES is a mistake.

TOO MANY people just throw around YES,NO,IMO,etc etc when in fact are just repeating what the guy a post back said etc etc.Someone as learned as MR.SARIS definately knows better he is constantly quoting books, documents etc etc,its just bad practice.Mayeb I shoudl have pointed this out using someone else as an example like someone more guilty of this type of action, but it just struck a cord that day.I apologize.
