I am looking for a Hitler Youth shirt and have seen a couple that look like this one.
Does anyone know please was it usual for the shirts to have the HJ/DJ buttons all round but a plain normal button on the collar, as this one has?
I have also seen shirts with no lettered buttons and all normal tan coloured buttons or all brown pebbled buttons instead. Are the non HJ/DJ buttoned shirts likely to be because mum bought a similar shirt from a local supploer rather than through the official Nazi channels??? I am finding it a bit confusing.
Also, is there anything to look out for that gives awayl if a shirt is an early one, a late war one or a reproduction?
Thanks
