    SA trousers

    Hi,
I want to sell this trousers, but want to be sure they are real. I got them as early SA / SS Trousers. I´ve been told they are made before RZM at a time SA and SS have worn same brown trousers.

    Opinions please.

        Hi,

I don't think this type of breeches have anything to do with arly "political" stuff.

        Could also be civilian breeches.

But of course they "could be" worn by early SA member.

          Breeches

I don't see anything wrong with them for EARLY SA. If the belt loops accommodate the width of an SA belt, you're probably OK. They appear to be too early for an RZM tag, but did you check behind the rear pockets? That's where the tag usually is, but I don't think you'll find one. As the above post says, though, they COULD have been worn by a civilian. The other pair of breeches on the forum today are more what you normally see, with the buttons on the legs.

            Thanks for your help, gentlemen.

The belt loops are ok for my SA belt.
There is only one rear pocket, but there is no RZM tag on the whole object.
So nothing to sell with clear conscience.

Actually, this style of velveton breeches were worn by Political Leaders and SA in the early days. They were forbidden to be worn in 1934 or 35 if memory serves, but apparently due to the fact that the fabric was comfortable and inexpensive (compared to wool), they were popular. I've had 2 veteran's grouping that had similar breeches of the same material, and I know in the OSAF bulletins they were mentioned as being unacceptable at least once or twice.
