    Think I may have had this on the wrong forum...at least no-one has replied after 50 views...anyway am told it is Kurpfalz, wondering about the bevo triangle and the originality of the entire unit...

    Green is often the hardest color to pin down. Often hard to tell if it's "Emerald" or "Steel Green". But even if you ascertain the color, you often STILL don't know WHICH Gruppe it's from, because early on, the button color differentiated the 2 different Gruppes that shared a color. After 1941, ALL SA Gruppes wore only silver buttons. So if that insignia is Steel Green, it could be from Kurpfalz or Nordsee. If it's Emerald, it could be from Sachsen or Nordmark. Here's mine, which I'm pretty sure is "Emerald". Insignia is machine stitched on this one. I'm sure different type buttons were used on these caps, but I really like the type that's on my cap. It's shinier than most pebbled buttons, and has the "spreader" type attachment, which fits flush against the cap.
