    Hello,
    does anybody know this medal, it is from Deschler in Munich, G.Weber has it signed.
    40mm is the size.

    These medals were most likely sold to the public at the anniversaries of the putsch although some collectors think that these and other like medals were given to the families of the fallen. Personally, I think they were sold to the public.

      I can see how some historians might deduce from the imagery on this medallion's obverse that it's purpose was to commemorate the fallen -- either during the Putsch or throughout the Kämpfzeit, or both -- but I tend to agree with Erich that this was yet another example of NSDAP commercialism.

      A very nice piece, nonetheless, and one seldom seen! Cheers,

        Nice and rare piece. When the Deschler Hoard came to light few years back, few of those were amongst the treasures although they disappeared fast. If I recall correctly there was another design of the similar plaque. It featured Feldhernhalle on the verso.
        Lovely piece for sure.

                        I might be alone in this way of thinking but

                        Since most here are collectors, you have to realize that we do not run an appraisal service. Now that it is clear your interest in the piece is purely speculative, you might find it a bit harder to get any help with your questions in the future.
                        Most here like those trinkets for what they are, not how much they are. A concept that is foreign to some.
                        Want to know what it's worth? Offer it to another dealer, he will give you a 'realistic price'.

                          There is one in silver being offered at 100 Euro on a numismatic web page. But that one has not been altered.
