POLITICAL vs REICHSBAHN?? CAP EAGLE DEVICES....

Hello folks. Just did a side by side of these two birds, as I'd previously not really taken notice of the dimensional differences between the two. The top bird is back-marked RZM M1/120, whereas the smaller eagle on the bottom has NO markings on the reverse whatsoever. Does the smaller eagle appear to be perhaps a Reichsbahn example, or perhaps belong to another political organization? Thanks in advance for any feedback. If I assume correctly, the smaller eagle would be appropriate for several organizations, Reichsbahn, Forestry, Customs, etc, or?? What throws me a bit is that the wings still seem a bit too long for a Reichsbahn type cap insignia. A few snaps below...

    Milton,

The top eagle appears to match #2531 in the Assmann Catalog which is identified as a SA hat eagle......

Thank you Ron. No doubt that the top bird is SA, but from the sheet you provided it seems the closest match for the one in question is for Forst / Beamte in my honest opinion. Thx for the feedback!

The lower eagle is for state organizations. Officially it also should have had an RZM marking.
Reichsbahn did use this form in golden (about war, before that a smaller one - see the page from Assmann), but the so-called Kleinbahn and Reichsbahn drivers did use it in aluminum. And so it was in use by the forestry (state forestry and municipal in aluminum) and postal organizations and shortly customs until they got an own, specific eagle.

Interesting. Assuming up front that it was NOT SA, I just wanted to nail it down by specific organization if possible. Thanks for the additional feedback!
