    Request for Identification, Third Reich Silverware

    Gents;

    Would anyone be so kind to tell us what type of Third Reich silverware we have here? We acquired these goods ourselves from an American WWII serviceman over 40 years ago. Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Both the dinner knife and the spoon are hallmarked to the "FRAGET" firm on the handles. The knife has a more complete company hallmark of "J. FRAGET".

    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Best regards to all,

    Clay

      Fraget was a Polish firm founded in 1824 by two French brothers Alphonse and Joseph. The company folded when Germany invaded Poland in 1939. I would suggest that they are original items but if they have 3rd Reich markings these are probably added post war.

        Interesting...never seen this pattern before, though it looks like a political rather than a military design. Never seen anything in the TR context by this manufacturer, either.
