Men of the Wehrmannschaft in civilian clothing wearing the Wehrmannschaft armband. This piece has been long misidentified as a "SA sports armband."

I have always viewed the wehrmannschaft as the logical extension of Rohm's dreamed of SA army. I think if the SA had replaced the army this would have been their uniform. I will post my one example soon.

Very interesting cap, Pascal! I've never seen one with a split front--does it button closed in front or ?
And Bob, thanks for reminding me of your Wehrmann leader's ensemble--fantastic set that I had bid on as well!

                            Hi Erich,

Think it's the one and only known (officially).

The front and side flaps are closed with push buttons

Fantastic specialized collection Pascal and Bob!!!

question: Is it this armband they wearing in the period picture? If so it is the first period proof that I see. Were they only for use on civilian cloths? And how does it comes that so many (mine included) are found in pristine condition?

                                Regards, Wim
