As Erich said, this is a fantastic artifact and one which I have never seen before! I wonder who actually published it, and when; no publisher is named, though one would presume that Eher Verlag was the source. I'd love to have a copy for my collection, too!

                Cheers,

                Br. James

This is a deluxe anniversary edition most likely also sold on the commercial market as well. I have seen a few copies for sale in the past but they are fairly rare all the same.

This would be a very nice addition to anyone's collection. of course published by the host Gau and available to the public to recoup the funds expended and then some. Notice in the list of marching unts the prominent inclusion of Party members of the new Ostmark (Austria) and the Sudetenland.

Thanks, Schuasta, but I don't think that is the publisher's name; it simply states that the book was produced by/for the NSDAP and "Traditions Gau" Munich-Upper Bavaria. As Joe mentioned, creating and selling such a documentary record and souvenir of the event would be a source of revenue for the Gau that footed the bills for the event! Really a great piece.

Agree--these are very tough to find! Great booklet. Do the versions from different years contain very different content?

                              Festina lente!
