    German bugle

I brought this back from Germany with me in 1976, picked it up at one of the fleamarkets I used to got to almost every weekend. On Saturday I used to go to bigger towns like Frankfurt and etc., and on Sundays you could find several in the smaller villages. It is missing the mouthpiece, and has several dents and is badly tarnished; however what might it be worth......if you know and if you will tell me?

I also don't know what organization it is from.

    Thanks,
    Ron

Nice find! It's an SA bugle in fair condition. In excellent condition they're around $500-1200.00. If the condition of yours is about the same on the other side, I would guess it would go for between $100-275.00 depending on the crowd.

Thanks Erich. I would show you the other side, but right now I am not 100% sure where downstairs it is and due to the osteonecrosis of my left leg I can't handle the steps; however, I think it would be in about the same condition. I probably got it early one morning most likely at the old Frankfurt fleamarket or secondarily at the Mainz fleamarket by the Dom or cathedral, since those are the ones I mostly went to......every Saturday at Frankfurt, while Mainz was only one Saturday a month....then I would go on to Frankfurt. I said the old Frankfurt market, because when I went back to Germany later as a DAC Attorney-Advisor it had moved on down to the Schlacthof yard and was nothing like the old market......found nothing there.

      Thanks again,
      Ron
