        Great pickups everyone.

Mind would have to be these mint PL collar tabs straight from the woodwork:

A couple of political Amber pieces found their way to me this year also.

Mil, congratulations, so you bought 3 original Coburg badges this year, did you also sell your house and take up residence under the local bridge?

Very impressive addition to all your wonderful Political collections -

One item I was fortunate to get in 2014 was a Eastern peoples(RMBO) visor to complete the uniform -

                  BEST WISHES AND MERRY CHRISTMAS

If what I see here so far is any indication, then our hobby is definitely healthy, and as the years pass, more and more treasures creep out of the shadows and onto the main stage for sale!

When I started reading history and collecting TR relics as a young boy back in the late 1950s, inflation held the prices down and you could pick up SA daggers for $25.00, helmets for $40.00 and medals for almost nothing...but "almost nothing" was also the amount of money I could muster toward buying such things! In those days anything with a swaz on it was desirable! Now, in hindsight, we see that those with deep pockets and an eye for value and the future bought everything in sight and hoarded it for decades in private collections. And now those days are passing before us and the old-time collections are being broken up as families inherit all that "Nazi stuff" and have no regard for it...except for it's resale value, of course. So, many artifacts that no one had even imagined still existing are now beginning to come back into the marketplace, and those today with the ability to buy, do so!

We live in wonderful times! Frohe Weihnachten, my friends,

                          Br. James

Why do people feel a need to cover the number???
                              Never understood that.

Award# below the silver content has been observed on pieces in the low 600's, as far as I know.
