I obtained this boxed Political Leader Gorget with chain and would like opinions as to originality and value please. The box has been taped to hold the lid together. I guess that is better than having no box. The chain has 31 links and has different markings than the gorget.

The chain and gorget are not matching which is not unusual. Overall it's a very nice set and as far as value, these PL gorgets are selling for about 1100.00. Due the damage of the box, not sure what premium it would add.Comment

As Erich mentioned, a very nice set that is made by Assmann.
The chain is marked M1/17 which is Assmann's mark, and the Gorget is marked M5/8 which is also Assmann's number, so in a sense really matching.
