Ex-Pepera GPB 21 978

The 30 mm Gold Party Badge in the current Gottlieb auction was in the recent John Pepera sale and is documented as unidentified in his sale catalog. I was able to identify it to Arthur Hüttinger. His records fortunately included his photograph still attached to his NSDAP membership file card which only about 30% or so of them are still there. He looks to be possibly wearing it on his tie.

I exchanged a few emails with JP mid July 2012 and was able to provide him with the attribution. For some reason he missed to document it, so HH did not know to use it in their description either:

Heavily worn gilt Tombak with inset silver-plated, enamelled party badge (light aging). Party member number "21978" on heavily worn reverse with stamped "GES. GESCH." above horizontal pin on attachment plate stamped "DESCHLER & SOHN MÜNCHEN 9" placed above vent hole.

However, CG shows it attributed correctly - thank you, Ross !

How many of JP's badges sold on HH have ended up on dealer's hands? I see that some of the big names have purchased several and now selling on their websites.
