I have feeling it is good and not a rare document.

Every year there were various occupation (beruf) competitions and everybody got a participation certificate, if they were not a winner in their category. Winners then participated in a higher level, eg., Kreis , Gau, Reich. Long story short, these are not rare.

It is not rare but it is real though. It's a nice document and displays well.

Hi Daniel,

Another point of reference on this document is that it was signed by Obergebietsführer Artur Axmann, who did hold that rank in the HJ in 1939. Of course, the signature on this document is printed and not hand-signed -- which is normal for the type of document it is -- but this does add yet another verification of the time period.

Interesting. The document actually says that the recipient was able to buy the certificate for taking part in the competition. Never seen that before.

"erworben" does here not mean, that he had to buy it.
He "earned" it for his participation.
