Fantacy Piece?

I would tend to lean more towards fantasy piece, especially since "Angrieff" is misspelled for "attack". The word is "ANGRIFF" (no "e")...I wouldn't expect such a spelling error on a period engraving, in my honest opinion. The translation is supposed to read "Strength lies not in defense, but in attack". Not to mention, the casting is quite poor, especially in the eagles chest, swastika details, etc.

Yes, it seems to be very poor quality. But we are talking about 1943 here and quality control was slipping. Perhaps some machinist recently with too much time on his hands. Yet he had the sense to surround Hitler's quote with laurel leaves signifying victory rather than the usual oakleaves. but he misspelled the word and faced Hitler's quote on the bottom.
