    NSDAP buckle?

Hi, I've been told this was never a legitimate buckle worn by NSDAP. I have one myself just like it and wondered if you could tell me if it is a legitimate design or entirely fabricated. I'd also love to know what evidence exists either way. Thanks so much in advance. Quint

    Buckle

Collector's Guild is a pretty reliable place. It's probably what they say it is. Having said that, I don't know if it was actually an "authorized" uniform piece, as things in the earliest days of the 3rd reich weren't nearly as standardized as later items.

      Buckle clip

Thanks for your reply. So regardless of design you have these smaller kind of political buckles with the flimsier clip on the back? I've seen lots online but was unsure if they were real or not as they differ from the later military buckles I have. I appreciate your help.

These unofficial and unauthorized buckles are really commercial/"sympathizers" buckles (at best), and could be completely unrelated "Good luck" commercial buckles... but being German-made with a swastika they've always been called "early NSDAP" or "Sympathizers" buckles... and certianly are related one way or the other... but over hyped and over priced (IMO)

At one time these buckles were very common and cheap.... but was never "authorized" by any party branch.... so are in the "misc." category" as far as buckles go...

The Guild tends to be quite PRICEY but 99.9% good stuff! ..... huge inventory and well run.

According to an official leaflet from late 1934 from the concern Berg & Nolte AG from Lüdenscheid they offered such buckles for a belt with the size 2,5 cm and 3,0 cm as for NSDAP-youth and sports (NSDAP-Jugend und Sport). The swastika can be canted or horizontal and most often has "dents" all over the swastika.

Thanks for replying. It's great to learn this stuff. Mine has the same DRGM mark. I'd be grateful if anyone could share any information about this. Thanks in advance once more.
