    Deutsch is der Rhein!

    While traveling with my wife, I had some time to kill in Flagstaff. In an antique shop, I found this large plaque hanging on the wall. With the frame, it looks to be about 18 inches by 14 inches. The detail is spectacular with our young German holding the flag and broken shackles.

        looks like its signed..can you make out the signature? hard to read from photo.

          done..just found a similar..only this is probably made with different material.
          the signature should then read G.Bamme.

                Nice find --especially in an antique store. I've seen the political version with a brownshirted SA man carrying the flag with swastika embossed, but never this style.

                    Its unusual to find that kinda stuff in flag(very few shops)...unless you hit big tree on a weekend then maybe hit little america for the sunday brunch...better than dennys) , I found more in prescott, and even the prescott flea market at the outdoor theater...and this find is like finding something in sho low...but it made the trip worth while....I like the grapes on both sides...nice touch...congrats....anyway.
