    Reichspost Stars or...?

Picked these up from Gerard on one of his Ebay offering. Had thought/hoped something here might be KM related but I’m pretty sure (now) that I’m bumming in that regard wherein I now believe that (at least) some are transitional Reichspost collar tab stars.

That said, I would appreciate any guidance that might be out there regarding these stars of various sizes. The eight pointed star with the DRK-like cross in the center is 18.64mm:

The six pointed stars are 15.82mm (would be nice if they were Ernst Röhm’s shoulderboard stars:-)

The five pointed stars (these were the ones I speculated might have a KM application) are 25.85mm (having the button-like shanks) and 23.46mm for the one with split pins:

The smaller stars (Reichspost tabs?) are 18.57mm, 15.5mm, 11mm.

Last shot is a Reichspost tab image that John Casino sent me for reference. Clearly this explains some of these I’m guessing but probably not all. For instance, the button shanked five pointers? The eight pointer with the central DRK like cross?

          Any ideas?

The five pointed stars - look-a-likes as shown, were in use until 1936, then being replaced by a common pip form. The one with a cross was not a sign for the postal services. Not until 1936 or thereafter! Anyway such cross is not mentioned in 1928 or later official German postal services regulations.
The six and eight pointed stars are not for German postal services, that's for sure!

              Maybe a hint.
In the swiss army were used the cross on buttons and stars.
In the "swiss army ordinance 1898" the officers had 8 pointed golden stars with the swiss cross.

"cool" was my thought when I saw them. Of course, it would be nice if the big five pointed ones were KM since I'm always looking for something to throw in my meager KM display but I think I ended up with "cool" without an application.

                  Oh well.

Of course, if I stumble on a gold braided SA boards the six pointed ones would look even more cool on those.
