    GPB worn by WH/LW/KM Generals/Admirals?

    Gentlemen -

I was just wondering the other day -

Did Army, or Luftwaffen Generals wear the GPB to their uniforms?
    Maybe on formal occasions?

I realize that on Waffen-SS uniforms this was more common, but WH/LW?

Does anyone have photo proof for GPBs being worn by WH/LW Generals (KM Admirale) ?

    Thanks for your input.

    Best,
    Markus

            Thanks Ron-

My general impresiĆ³n is that most (more common) Generals would refrain from wearing this badge on their normal field uniform. One explaination could be that the 'Partei'-connection was not seen in a 'good light' amongst Army commanders?

Sepp Dietrich would wear his on his daily field uniform on a daily basis until the bitter end, despite everything.

74 out of 96 members of OKW and 9 out of 20 of OKH were members of the NSDAP in 1944.
Having said that, any politically affiliated badges were forbidden from wear on military uniform according to the official military rules. Only insignia made for military were allowed. That would be the main reason why we see don't see those as much.
That rule was in effect until the bomb plot of 1944 after which it was officially abolished.

              cheers

              Matt
