Hello guys,
I bought this NSKOV Badge today at a gun show. It was sold to me as a reproduction, but I am pretty certain it is the real deal. It is maker marked on the reverse to Deschler & Sohn of Munich (RZM M1/52). The badge appears to be die-stamped zinc and it has a vertically-oriented, tinnie-type pin on the reverse. I've also seen these badges with flat metal prongs on the back rather than a pin attachment. You can also find examples of these where the eagle faces to the right rather than the left (like on mine). But period photos show both types in use during the Third Reich.
The badge measures 47.41mm high X 50.17mm wide and it weighs 11.8 grams.
Best regards,
Tom
