    Adolf Hitler pattern fork

    Hello all,

AH initials on this one but neither the formal or informal pattern that I am aware of. Can anyone please help identify/authenticate this one for me?

          Hi William,

The photo of the reverse stem is too blurry to see the maker's mark; can you please clarify?

          Thanks,

          Br. James

At best a 'gift item' from an admirer [albeit a bad gift]

              At worst, a total fake.

Not one I'd want to own.

Thanks very much, William, for the connection to the previous discussion of this style of flatware, and for the reminder of my thoughts from three years ago. Methinks they haven't changed.

This is what happens when greedy dealers and lemming collectors drive the price of the relatively common AH knives, forks and spoons to $1500 to $1800 a piece. The fakes start coming out.

I have seen that eagle on the back before and I believe it is a copy but I am not 100% sure, but fairly certain.

I agree. Notice how even formal pattern pieces are creeping up to 1400/1500/1750 now.

Why? They are not rare items. Thousands were made and most probably still exist.
