The K is often wrongly indicated as Kontrolle. Correct is Kraftwagen/Kraftwagen-Einheit, as is said!
Actually it stands for Kraftfahrer (driver), as this was what it actually was an organization of drivers with trucks.
The K was introduced May 4, 1934: silbergestickte Buchstabe K für die Gesamteinheit. One could only obtain such collar-patches through the NSKK High-Command (Korpsführung).Last edited by wilhelm Saris; 04-29-2014, 12:14 AM.
