          The name of the hotel was "Der Deutsche Hof" and there was one in Nuremberg built in 1912/13. According to the German Wikipedia website Adolf Hitler was a guest in this hotel, when he was staying in Nuremberg. Maybe this silverware belonged to this hotel!?

                Here it is recently, closed down. However there seemed to be work going on inside so hopefully it will re open!

                    Nice photos ivbaust. Interesting comment from Jon Fish that it might be re-opened. I would expect that the 'work going on inside' is the re-mounting of the massive gold colored bronze reichsadler back into its original position inside the Deutsche Hof where it belongs but so far I haven't heard of any plans to do so.....(shown here next to a standard 'Nuremberg Eagle' for scale.
