    Eaglr statue

Could I get your opinions on this statue as well as any info on what the engraving was for, "Zur Crinnaring an Uffz Korps 13./378". There are no maker marks on the base or the eagle that I can see. The engraved shield is loose fitting but the cap eagle has been glued on probably later. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks Mark

        Eagle statue

If I need to post this in a different area please let me know.
Could the inscription have anything to with the 13th Infantry Div , 13th Motorized Infantry Div. ,!3th Panzer Div. Or PanzerDiv. Feldherrahalle ? I don't think it would involve the 13th Luftwaffe field div. or the 13th Anti aircraft div.

"Zur Erinnerung an Uffz. Korps 13./378."

"As a memento of the NCO corps, 13./378."

          Almost certainly 13./I.R. 378- 13. Kompanie, Infanterie-Regiment 378.

Thank you for that info Chris. Do you know if this is something that would have been done during the war or post war?

I believe that this is an original pre-war presentation item with a fine original dedication. I suspect, as you indicated you do, that the cap eagle was glued on after the war.

                Hi,
In my opinion, an original period service time rememberence eagle statue in excellent condition, cap eagle added later, nice piece, congratulations,
                Best Regards,

Hi Mark, Thanks for telling us the size of the eagle and its overall height - much appreciated. At 10 inches tall, it is quite a substantial piece. Best Regards, Michael
