    Eagle Desk

I would like you to take a look at this eagle; and give me your opinion on whether it is possible that this eagle belonged to the period of the Third Reich.

    No signature.
    Width of the wings: 43cm
    Height: 41cm
Height of the base (including in 41cm): 12,5cm.
    Weight: 7,2kg

    best regards.

Looks more American than German. Beautiful bird in any case.

      Beautiful Sculpture !

Are there any markings: Signature, Foundry, etc. ? Inside or out. That would help a lot in answering your question.

maybe this is an eagle before the Third Reich period. 20 years, or at the beginning of the century?

                Hi gents !
I have the exact the same bird myself exept mine has a small metal base under
It's feet and have a different marble base.
Mine has no markings at all, bought this piece in Germany a while back.
Dont know if it's period but an impresive piece indeed !
                Cheers, Hakan

They both look the same sculpture design with two diffrent plinths, funny enought i just bought the exact same as the second one posted, from a German dealer who stalled out at Stonliegh, impressive to say the least and well sculpted and coloured, cold painted as seen on Austrian works from the 1920's. Now thats three weve seen so my question is Post WW1 or modern manufacture?
