    NSDAP armband.

    Hello everybody,
I would like your opinions and experiences on this armband, as I believe you already encounter some of them.

I am not educated on this subject, I have checked this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranks_a...the_Nazi_Party

But it is not clear if this exemple is for head departement leader or supreme departement leader? This category are quite obscure for me by the way. What was the actual grade/name for people wearing this armband?

Thank you very much and best regards from France.
    Mathieu.

From the pictures it looks like white piping to the edges which would indicate Political Leader in the Kries level a Leiter Eines Hauptamtes(Leader of a Main Department) - which reflects the highest administrational rank in the Kries level.
    Hope this helps

Looks like yellow piping to top and bottom edges of armband?
If so, it is Reich Level Leiter eines Hauptamtes.

Thank you very much for your answers,
Hard to tell about the piping, I did not know it was an important feature when I took the pictures, so they did not do justice to this part of the armband (the quality of the picture is rather poor anyway). Looks like white in picture one and two (more close from the background colors than oak leaves one), but yellow in the third, I will have to check this in hand.

This armband is in storage in my grandmother house, in an edition of mein kampf that every schoolboy of ElsaB received as a gift when it was taken away from France as a part of the gau Baden-ElsaB. It belonged to my grandfather, I know he visited the kommandantur of Strasbourg when the nazis run away and did some souvenir business.

He kept this armband along with a few items of this time. One of them is a politic leader belt, the brown one with gold washed aluminium buckle, eagle and oak leaves with its named shoulder strap.

My concern is to know if this armband and belt could have been taken from the same man, did a Hauptamt Leiter of a Kreis level was wearing such a belt? Same question for a Reich level Leiter Haumptamt?

The Gau Baden-ElsaB has 27 Kreise. There are only a few people who could had wear this armband. Do you know any data that could allow me to track back the name of Reich/Kries level Leiter eines Hauptamtes of this Gau? Maybe just in the Strasburg Kries would be enough.

I know that is a lot of asking, so let me know when your time permit, as I am not in a hurry. I will check the color of the piping too.Thank you for your time and effort gentlmen.

If it is in white, then it is Kreis

All levels were authorized to wear that belt

There is no way to tell based on an armband and belt only
