Seems to be a good piece to me. Why would you feel that it is questionnable?

      Hi Mil

I am not good with these, never owned one, I had a suspicion because where it is from, also the details around the eagles head, but I admit, not studied these a lot really

Interesting that its good, thank you, whats a good buyer price to pay for one of these ?

      cheers

        Martin,

Believe this eagle was made by Assmann as indicated by the markings on the inside chest.

Yes, it is Assmann. These eagles officially should always have an RZM marking, as this is noted in the Mitteilungsblatt der Reichszeugmeisterei.

As others have said its a nice M37 NSDAP style eagle made by Assmann (M1/17). No idea on prices but IMO relatively speaking its scarcer than the M34 and the M39 patterns but more common than the (true NSDAP) M36 pattern

                Nice bird

These birds are getting more and more appreciated by collectors, due to the recognition of the insignia itself. Prices have been climbing slowly and in particular the 1929 piece which is harder to find.

                        That is indeed Assmann"s Number.
