2 variations of the purple reichsbahn armband

Just found a new variation of the reichsbahn armband for foreign workers. Note the difference in the text as well as the material. The new variationn might be later war? New one is in the link...

Nice find....but not "new" to us "old timers"...... these weren't as collectible because "no eagle/swas." back in the old days.... before such variations became appreciated for thier true historical significance.

It seems most reichsbahn armbands used the text style of the one I just discovered. The yellow reichsbahn, reichsbahn firefighter armbands, standard green reichsbahn (both variation) as well as the special purposes like medic and vehicle services use this type. Only a handful use calligraphy like the other branches..... A shame though that they weren't appriciated due to no swastika. It seems anything still now without a swastika is worth little unless it applies to a popular group of collectors and even then aren't as popular....

Also the most standard reichsbahn which is the easier to find one of Ron's where it doesn't say Deutsche in the front....




Don't have a photo of the fire fighter leader in the reichsbahn because I wasn't looking for them at the time. It was on ebay and sold with the standard rank for $200
