Hello, I find this for two years in a flea market. Not sure about it's military, german or so...Looks like a small lanyard. Have somebody a idea ? Thank you.

Lanyard
German officer's adjutants wore a similar lanyard on their right shoulder, I believe. Regardless of origin, I imagine the function would be similar. It looks American-made to me, but that's just a guess.Comment

Similar? In no way. The German adjutants had one wider aluminum braid (Geflecht - 38.0 cm long and 2.5 cm wide) and a long double cord (50.0 cm), which was knotted to the braid. At the shoulder-part two longer cords (12.0 cm) with metal tips were attached. The German material is totally different and be from Kantillenschnur.

I only meant that they were similar in appearance and function. By "similar", I meant they were worn on the shoulder, were braided, and had the the 2 metal "fire-nozzle" fittings.Comment
