Bronze Wall Eagle

Just picked this up a few weeks ago from a local veteran's son. His dad was in the 45th and was told this was picked up at Dachau. Even though there is no documented proof, it's still a cool story.

Anyways, the point of my post is to see if anyone knows a specific model name for the design. I've seen similar designs in earlier stadium pics, but never knew the name. The finish is bronze and the item is solid and heavy.

I'll have to measure when I get home but if I remember correctly it's around 9x8 ish.

I assume you mean inches rather than feet?
To answer your question, the style of eagle does not have a specific name--every artist and sculptor who designed an eagle would put their own vision and style into it.
This one looks like it was, or was to be, mounted on a plaque or something similar, since the mounting screws would go in through the back.
Looks to be in beautiful condition as well!
