    Tab

Obertruppfuhrer unit-side tab for SA-Sanitatsfuhrer, circa 1933. You are correct.

      Tab

Having said that, I didn't know if a "Sanitatsfuhrer" is always a doctor. If so, You'd think he'd be an officer.

A very nice and rare tab! Tom nailed it on the proper description of rank. Here is my matched set with matching arm oval below them. I also included a few others to show the variation in purple color. They range from maroon purple to a deep purple color. These early doctor tabs are some of the rarest SA tabs to find. Nice catch

            Tab

Thanks, MSEagle for posting. Nice stuff!! I just bought the tab posted by Bolinger. It's one of just 2 SA colors I DON'T have. The other is "red-brown" .

              Sanitats SA

Considering that there was only ONE enlisted Sanitatsfuhrer rank, do you know what their medical qualifications were? Were they doctors as well? Also, how does Sanitatsfuhrer personnel differ from typical SA medical personnel? Is it because they were doctors? Thanks!
