Thank you, your reply is much appreciated.

I have been offered a Wellner piece which is supposedly from EB but the monogram is intertwined and not the normal butterfly. It looks a lot like some of the AH flatware monogram styles you find on the plated pieces.

I don't want to do a disservice to Ron here, but I *think* that scan is from Charlie Snyder's book on the subject.

While some of those monograms are undoubtedly correct, I imagine a fair few are not.

Why don't you post up a photo of the monogram in question, and let's take a look.
