Thoughts on this style of armband

What do people think about this style of armband? Did such a type exist or is it fantasy? I have always wondered myself about them. I have seen one in person and the back where you can see the printing is covered with a layer of fabric so you can't see how it was printed if I remember correctly...

IMO, this version armband did exist and is not a fantasy piece. In fact, the armband in the picture that you posted looks original. Chris

Thanks for your thoughts Chris. Did they come in any other construction or any period photos showing one? Probably added to the list of over 50 armbands without period pictures lol

I have only ever seen this type armband in the printed version as depicted in your picture.

Thanks for your help Chris! I have only seen one in person and it wasn't for sale but I thought it was odd to have the sewing over the back end where you can't see the printing....
