These embroidered pieces have been questioned in the past. The gauze fabric on the reverse is not commonly found as a backing for III. Reich embroidered items, but was used extensively behind US patches and some of the 'Patch King' 1940s US copies. That said, the embroidery and design of the insignia is very well done.
