    Kreissieger badge on estand

What would be some other's opinions on this badge?

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=697000

I'd like to see a straight on shot of the front to be sure, but am a bit uncomfortable with this one which is unusual as I've never seen a Kreissieger reproduction.

Hi, the enamel looks white around the eagle and it should be egg colored, a straight photo of the obverse would help!

Note the eagles head and shoulders don't conform well with known originals. Additionally the Markneukirchen makers mark appears to be similar to known fakes of the Gau and Reichssieger badges.

          Hi all,

Brehmer never made the Kreissieger for 1939. The only maker were in 1939, Aurich, Tham and Wagner.

          Regards

            Agree here with heran!
            No Bremer kreissiegers in 1939.

Well, it appears I missed the most obvious issue! Interesting to note I have never seen a fake Brehmer Kreissieger. I've only seen this type in a 1939 Gaussieger and both a 1938 and 1939 Reichssieger. And I should clarify my first post. I've never seen a well executed (in this style) Kreissieger. I've seen plenty of patently obvious Kreissieger fakes.

Interesting Stuart. I've never seen these fakes offered cased. Seems like the world of fakes is adding options!

Thanks for the picture Stuart. Never seen the case before but it certainly doesn't match originals, which is a good thing. I do see it is still on the e-stand, thankfully with a link to this thread. I'm a bit surprised to see no response or effort on behalf of the seller to remove the item from sale or to re-label it as a fake.

                              hj badge

Set one of these next to an original and its pretty clear the dimensions on the neck and chest are off.
