    Complete SA uniform

    Hello all!

I saw this complete uniform for sale on the internet:

I doubt about the authenticity of this uniform. The following reasons why I'm not sure is that the "wings" on the collartabs are missing the swastika and that the collartabs are nog piped. Am I right?

    What are your thoughts?

    A. Shoulderboard looks legit. Kepi looks legit, Brownshirt and tag look legit. Breeches look legit. Collar piping is FAKE. Collar tabs, if real, have been gussied-up with Flieger insignia. Most likely a put-together shirt - MANY red flags.

The complete flag is nice. SA Reserve Standarte 86 was in Augsburg, Group Hochland, I believe.

The shirt looks a little odd...for the reason mentioned.

Paulj: R 86 is listed indeed as Augsburg, part from brigade 86 (Schwaben) in the SA-group of Hochland. I checked my OSAF lists from November 1, 1935 and June 15, 1936. In the list from July 1, 1937 the reserve-standarte is no longer mentioned.

Collar tabs look like DLV -- would like to see better photos of them.

Looks like a lot of good stuff, separately - but the collar piping is fake, which casts doubt right off the bat.

Totally agree on the piping, shiny happy piping, and to top it off, that SA Manns teeth are way too sparkly

                  Hi all!

                  Thanks for all your replies!

@Scott: I'll ask the seller for better images of the collar tabs.

                    Tabs

I wouldn't waste time with those collar tabs. The Flieger SA was completely absorbed into the DLV by September 1933, so it's possible there would be a shoulderboard on the shirt, but unlikely. Also, Flieger SA wore rank insignia on the left tab, and the Flieger propeller was worn on the unit side. litzen was NOT worn on the unit side, and the propeller was NOT worn on the rank tab.
Still...............lots of other items that appear good, but the shirt is a put-together loser.
