    Early Armband

I'ce had this a long time. It's the only thing I added to my brownshirt. The red cotton is thin, and the swastika tape is very soft and smooth. I'm pretty sure it's OK, but other opinions are welcome.

No problem there, though dating these as early is difficult, so many firms made these in differing styles

Looks like a fairly early design to me, one that would have existed when the Traditions Brown Shirt was in use during the Kämpfzeit. A good match for your shirt, my friend.

I would say that and if not only, about a year later than 1933 IMO.

I love the 4th guy's armband in the closest row to the picture taken. Very strange construction!

Welcome to the fourm (a few months late ) but I have to say that I have doubts on your armband here that you just posted here wiki. I are heavily faked and were early so the chances of finding one is low and I haven't seen an armbands with zig zag stitching before that I though was real. I have also heard that they don't glow under a black light but not sure about that. Do a search on them here. (BTW if it was real it would be Gau level if my sources are correct......)

                          Armband

Agree - All early "striped" PL armbands I've seen, the stripes didn't have a herringbone weave - they were more plain. An "Amtsleitern" if authentic. The rarity of such armbands, and it's overly-tidy appearance also help make it suspect, IMO.

                            Hello:
                            Concerning the "early Reichleiter Armband"-
                            please compare to these-

                            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=477823

Made by the same (skilled) faker IMO.

Note the use of "herringbone" ribbon.

                            Regards,
                            Kent G.

Agree, if it was an original it would be a lot less neat and would IMO have damage to it for being 80 instead of 70
