Haven't found a seperate topic on this booklet yet, and I believe it is interesting for the cultural fans among us.
This book was published by a (collaboration) publisher called "Hamer" for the exhibition of Dutch folk symbols in The Hague 1941.
Title is “Eeuwig Levende Teekens” / Eternal living signs
Tentoonstelling van Volksche zinnebeelden / Exhibition of folk symbols
Den Haag 1941 / The Hague 1941
I'll post some examples of pages, but you can see the complete inside of the book online here:
http://www.geheugenvannederland.nl/?...02:NIOD05_1473
It shows folk signs, many runes, in (far) past and present of the Dutch culture.
There also is a nice 11 minute film made in 1941 for the NSB:

I know there is one forum member that has a beautifull large poster of this exhibition with the Irminsul on it.
p.s. I have no proove that the brooch has got anything to do with this book or exhibition, it is period though.
